Are Wearables for Babies a Good Idea?

Wearables are now available to track your baby’s oxygen levels, heart rate, breathing patterns, temperature, and sleeping position — however, experts question the usefulness of these devices. These products are marketed to give parents peace of mind, but may be giving them a false sense of security. Furthermore, variations in vitals signs can be considered normal and are difficult to interpret without a health professional. These wearables might have clinical application for at-risk babies, but would need to undergo more rigorous testing.
