The Exponential Growth of Computer Processing Power of the Last 50 Years

While this article might not be medical oriented, we all know now how much of medicine is reliant on technology. This article highlights “Moore’s Law” (A statement made back in the 1965 about processing power of computers doubling every 2 years) and how it still holds true 50 years later. Faster and more powerful computers obviously will have an effect on the speed and efficiency of medicine technologies and advancement of medical devices. What can we expect in the next 50 years?
