Asthma Prediction App to be Developed and Implemented by USC and UCLA

USC and UCLA have received funding to develop a smartphone app that will ask patients of their daily asthma symptoms and tie this into real world environmental data to build a personalized predictive model of what triggers that patient’s symptoms.  The app will then warn patients on days that are likely to have environmental triggers, suggesting that they make sure to bring their inhalers with them.
