The Motivation of Physicians to Join Health Tech Start-Ups

The author of this anecdotally-based article reached out to physicians involved in healthcare start-ups and suggests that, while impossible to actually track, more physicians are seeking part-time positions as advisors to start-ups.  The author argues that the motivation to do so is less financial and more based in a frustration with current medical practice, an opportunity to offer variety to the work week, and the ability to impact many rather than just a few.
