New Stroke Guidelines Extend Thrombectomy to 24 Hours

The new guidelines published on 1/24/18 by the International Stroke Conference recommend acute stroke patients to receive mechanical endovascular thrombectomy up to 24 hours after their stroke (level 2a). This will allow more patients who are ineligible for IV tPA to undergo mechanical thrombectomy.
