Team Based Model to Prevent Physician Burnout

University of Colorado Department of Family Medicine launched APEX, system designed to help physicians and medical assistants work as a team in primary care. With support from the medical assistants, the physicians reported forming better connections with patients, reduced burnout from 53% to 13%. The program saw improvement in preventative care referrals and number of patients seen per physician.
