Healthcare Teams Gain Edge by Using VR, AR for Surgery, Training

This March, surgeons in Texas utilized augmented reality to assist them with surgery by overlaying images during endoscopic imaging to help them visualize critical structures during the operation.  This virtual and augmented reality technology is being employed in various ways – in the operating room, in radiology to increase confidence in diagnosis, and even in pain management of patients.
