New Virtual Reality Pain Management Study Unites All Aspects of Care

Researchers in the orthopedic department at Cedars Sinai are demonstrating that in post-operative patients shown virtual reality videos of nature, that it “significantly reduces pain versus a control distraction condition.”  An independent study done by Samsung, a partner in the research, that pain was reduced up to 52%.   They are looking to study this technology in injured workers next and tout that it has significant clinical and economic implications.
